Excavation, grading & site preparation

Getting the ground right before anything goes on it. Driveways and tracks graded and re-shaped, building pads and shed sites cut and levelled, and the fall put where you want the water to go rather than where it currently goes.

Land clearing

Regrowth, scrub, old fencelines and the corner of the block that got away from you. Pushed out, heaped up and either left in a windrow or loaded and carted off, whichever suits you and the paddock.

Trenching & drainage

Trenches for water lines, power, effluent and stormwater, and drainage put in where the ground keeps holding water it should not. The backhoe cuts a clean trench and backfills it properly so you are not left with a soft strip across the paddock.

Ponds & waterscapes

New ponds dug and shaped, and old ones cleaned out once they have silted up. Banks formed, spoil spread or heaped where you want it, and the shape worked so the thing actually holds water instead of leaking into the next paddock.

Topsoil & road gravel delivery

Topsoil in for the garden, the new lawn or the low spot, and road gravel in for the driveway and the tracks. Delivered on the tip truck and spread with the machine while it is there, which is the difference between a heap and a finished job.

Not the call anyone wants to make. Neil handles it quietly and quickly, digs where you want it and backfills properly, whether it is a beloved old horse or stock after a bad run. Ring and he will come out.

Is there a minimum job size?

Ring and ask. One long-standing customer put it best: no job was ever too large, too small or too difficult. Small jobs get done, and often on the same trip as something else nearby.

Can you cart the spoil away?

Yes. The backhoe floats in on the tip truck, so the truck is already there. Spoil, old concrete and cleared rubbish can go out on the same trip rather than sitting in a heap on your block.

Do I have to be home for a water delivery?

No. Plenty of customers are not, and they say so in their reviews. As long as Neil can get the truck to the tank, water can be delivered while you are out.

How far ahead do I need to book?

It depends on the season and the weather, which out here decides a lot. Ring and Neil will tell you honestly when he can get to you rather than promising a day he cannot make.
